  • Rob Newton 19th October 2018 – 15th January 2019

    For this new exhibition at the Old School Gallery, Rob Newton has produced a number of oil paintings, along with watercolours. The subjects of Rob's paintings follow a tradition of British landscape painting. His technique is bold and fluid, using broad strokes to allow for a distinctive take on the beauty of the local countryside and seascapes. Rob's wonderful use of colour captures the unique light and palette of Northumberland.

  • Judy Appleby 1st September – 15th October 2018

    The Old School Gallery welcomes artist Judy Appleby for a solo exhibiJudy explores further her work with abstracted geometries, emphasising the relationship between man made and natural structures of Northumberland. The subjects of these colourful and dynamic compositions include well-known landmarks interpreted in an individual and original style.

    The Old School Gallery launches its summer season with an ambitious new exhibition with work from some of the UK's leading artists and printmakers exploring their vision of Northumberland’s coastal beauty.
